As with everything else, the cost of reproducing the paper copies of the bulletin and the postage costs have risen. The time that it takes to actually receive the most recent bulletin has gotten to be longer and now, the Postal Service is looking at only delivering mail three days per week.

We are trying to move as many of our communications to electronic mail (e-mail) as we possibly can. This will achieve some major cost savings and will allow us to get new information to you as soon as it becomes available!

For those of you who do not have e-mail available, check with your relatives and see if one of them would be willing to receive updates and print them out for you.

Some of our members have moved and forgotten to notify us of their new information. Many of you now have Cell phones and have even discontinued with the “landline” version.

Sometimes, it is just a matter of a “typo” when entering the information into the computer (used for mailing labels, etc.) that causes mail to be returned or phone calls to be missed.

International has asked that we strive to obtain and submit to them the current contact information, INCLUDING any and all e-mail addresses for each of our members.

We can’t reach you if we don’t have current contact information.

Please submit your Updated Contact Information to any Officer as soon as possible. This is going to be a fairly large undertaking and the sooner we start receiving yours, the sooner we can move on to the next big project!

DISTRICT “4” NEWS:
District Meetings:

All members and co-workers are welcome and encouraged to attend the District 4 meetings. There are many of us who attend regularly. Meet up at the Lodge to ride along, follow or just meet us there! This is where we share what we have accomplished during the previous month and find out what the other Lodges in the District are doing.

Chapter 762 was able to take home the highest “Chapter Attendance Percentage” award at the July District Meeting!

Many great ideas and friendships come from these meetings. Won’t you please join us?

District Camp Out:

The District 4 meeting for August will be held on Saturday, August 6th at 1:00 p.m. at the Camp Out. The September District 4 meeting will be held on September 18, 2011 at a location to be announced.

Do you have an hour or two that you can spare to help out at the Lodge? We have come a long way this year in improving our Moose home. There is still much more to be done and we could really use your help. If you have some time, and would like to volunteer, please contact one of the Officers to discuss how you can make this your home too.
